The dog training industry is unregualted. Anyone can call themselves a dog trainer without any existing or up to date qualifications which often leads to out dated and/or harmful advice and techniques being used and promoted.
I am passionate about research, updating my qualifactions and practising science backed techniques with my own dog and the dogs I walk. I am equpipped to advise my dog walking customers free of charge about training, behaviour and canine mental health.
If you require support from a trainer or behaviourist, the following Dorset and Poole based dog trainers / behaviourists are aligned with my beleifs and ethics. I have created this list as a guide for my customers and other dog owners. It includes people I either know personally or who have been well reccomended by people I trust. Karen holds a range of reputable qualifications including MSc and Post Graduate Qualifications, diplomas in canine behaviour and psychology with specialist subjects including but not limited to canine body language, separation anxiety, dog to dog aggression, resource guarding, scent work, nutrition, anatomy & movement, life skills, puppy foundations, noise phobias, especially fireworks etc.
Karen has worked with dogs for 18 years and is a member of The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and a Tellington TTouch Practitioner.

Since 2011 Kirsty has worked with a variety of dog breeds of all ages, including rescue dogs. She uses kind, reward based techniques to provide simple, practical and effective solutions that promote good behaviour.
