Can I Walk Your Dog If You’re Isolating? (Covid-19)

If you or someone you live with is experiencing Covid-19 Symtptoms or has tested positive for the virus, the self isolation period may have you concerned about ensuring your dog gets their daily exercise and enrichment. Walks are important for your dog’s physical and mental health, so you should ask a friend, fmaily member or a professional dog walker to walk your dog while you can’t leave your home.

Harbour Tails is able to help if you or someone you know has found themselves in this situation. Harbour Tails takes necessary precautions such as using our own leads and wiping over the dog with a clean damp cloth on collection and dropoff. The handover will need to take place outside and be as brief as possible with wo metre distance and masks worn by both parties during the handover. Dogs from households who are self isolating will be walked privately and kept on the lead at all times. Handwahisng/sanitising before collection and after dropoff. My equipment will be sprayed and wiped after each use.

Harbour Tails is fully insured, qualifed in dog walking and canine first aid and keeps your dog as safe as possible through a plain van (free of advertising for discreet collection, dropoff and transportation), and live GPS trackers are attached to each dog I walk.
